Meet Molly Chopin

I create art to inspire people to remember their spiritual/ energetic body, so that ultimately they feel empowered to keep moving with the pain and puzzles that come with an earthly existence.

Statement

I'm an artist exploring the intersection of science and spirituality, and the healing and evolutionary modalities that are born from this intersection. I paint visions on canvases and walls to inspire love (for this reality), healing (from the trials of this reality), and resilience (to keep moving through this reality), and to provide viewers with visual and energetic ARTifacts of what they find to be meaningful.

Working mainly with acrylics and a combination of direct and indirect painting methods, I build up layers of color, light, and geometric patterns to convey the invisible energies that surround and are expressed by living matter.

In doing so, I invites viewers to reflect upon aspects of reality that are usually beyond what is perceived through the eyes, and to invoke within them a Remembrance of the spiritual nature of this existence.

Biography

Molly Chopin is a visual artist creating paintings on canvases and walls to inspire awakenings, expansions of consciousness, and reflections upon the divine nature of existence.

Born 1985 in St. Paul, MN, Molly moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at a young age. She grew up there as the middle child in a family who encouraged her creativity, and throughout her youth she maintained a steady relationship with the arts through music, painting, and theater.

Upon finishing high school she attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in Art Education, and after graduating in 2007 went on to work as a full-time secondary art teacher for 7 years.

In 2013 a series of traumatic events drove Molly to question existence and delve deeper into a mode of art making than she had ever been. It was during this year that she experienced a transcendental flow state while painting for the first time, and while immersed in this state she interfaced with a loving entity that affirmed to her the presence of energies, guides, and worlds that exist beyond this visible realm.

2014 saw her last days as a full-time teacher, and the first public displays of her paintings, and since then her work has been exhibited in galleries, shows, and festivals all over the Southeastern United States.

Today she primarily creates from her home studio in Raleigh, NC, and she is a conductor and crew member of The Vision Train, an international art community that emerged in 2020.
